Where are you now?

I transferred from SMC to USC, and graduated from the Marshall School of Business in 2013. Afterwards, I started three very diverse businesses. The current venture I am working on is Habit Nest, a personal development company hyper-focused on helping people acquire habits of the world’s most successful people. We’ve had substantial growth on Instagram and our blog!

How did your experience at Santa Monica College influence your life?

Santa Monica College has been an amazing experience for me. It gave me an extra year to really understand where I wanted to go and what I wanted to do with my life. I’ve always had a good work ethic but SMC definitely helped me learn the concept of time management.

Shout out to a faculty or staff member that made a difference?

To be honest, it’s been to a little too long! However, I really enjoyed my economics classes!

Words of wisdom to share with future alumni?

It took me a few different businesses to really find my passion. I would say it’s the single most important element to a successful life. I don’t believe it’s enough to say, “I’m passionate about making money”. To me, that’s not enough to excite me everyday, and that excitement is crucial.

What's next?

Next is to continue building products our growing audience will enjoy. We’ve launched a journal called "The Morning Sidekick Journal," which is a science-based journal that gets you laser focused on your morning productivity/happiness in 3 minutes a day. In the works, is a journal called "The Greatest Gift" which will help people acquire the habit of gratitude while changing the lives of a loved one. In addition, we’re building an app we hope to launch by Q1 of 2018.
